"The Foundation for Polish Science is happy to inform you that an event celebrating the official launch of a new research unit created within the FNP?s International Research Agendas programme will take place on 21 June. The Centre for Quantum Optical Technologies, led by Professor Konrad Banaszek, will conduct complex research on optical systems at the quantum level with the aim of developing entirely new methods of communication, detection, metrology, imaging, and other practical applications. The unit will located at the University of Warsaw and will collaborate with the University of Oxford as a strategic partner. The project has been created thanks to PLN 35 million in financial support from the International Research Agendas programme (Competition 4/2017), co-financed from the Smart Growth Operational Programme (Measure 4.3).
