International Research Agendas programme ? training workshops for applicants

"The Foundation for Polish Science cordially invites you to take part in a training workshop, regarding the practical dimension of the application process for FNP?s International Research Agenda Programme (IRAP). The main aim of the IRAP is to enable the creation of highly specialised and independent research units led by outstanding scientists representing a range of disciplines and nationalities. The workshop is addressed solely to individuals interested in submitting an IRAP application. Participation in the workshop is limited to potential principal applicants or secondary IRAP applicants. Participation is free of charge. The costs of transport and accommodation in Warsaw will not be covered. For technical reasons, the number of participants is limited, so registration will take place on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that interest in the workshop exceeds available spaces on both dates, we will also organise an English-language online training session in the form of an interactive webinar, taking place on  March 31st. *Applications  for the International Research Agendas Programme should be submitted by renowned researchers with significant scientific achievements complemented by considerable managerial experience. The applicant can be a citizen of Poland or any other country, including from outside the European Union. Where required, e.g. if the application covers interdisciplinary research, the application may be submitted by two researchers, however it should be clearly indicated in the application form which of the researchers is the principal applicant.  The applicant applies to be the first director of the new institution. Therefore, each of the applicants has to be fully committed to implementing the IRAP and therefore employed by the new research institution for at least 50 % of a full time equivalent. The second applicant may apply for the position of group leader or to become research coordination director at the new center.
