The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) kindly invites all interested researchers to an information meeting on general rules of the International Research Agendas programme (IRAP).
The International Research Agendas programme is being implemented since November 2015 within of the Smart Development Operational Programme. It provides an opportunity to create research organisations in Poland (innovative centres of excellence), where outstanding scientists (irrespective of their nationality) will conduct quality research programmes and pursue R&D activities in order to solve a specific global scientific challenge. We would like to extend a warm welcome to scientists from Poland and abroad as well as to representatives of research institutions interested in pursuing international research agendas in Poland to an information meeting about the programme.
We would like to encourage representatives of all fields of research, including the social sciences and humanities, to participate.
The maximal amount, which may be granted to an international research agenda in the frames of the programme is 35 mln PLN. Funding in the IRAP competition may be granted until the end of December 2023. Each application submitted in the competition will be evaluated on formal and merit-based terms. After receiving a positive formal evaluation, the application will be passed on for the 3-stage merit-based evaluation, which takes place in three stages performed by international experts and reviewers.

in the Foundation?s office in Warsaw.
The meeting will be held in English or Polish.

Moreover, we would like to inform you that the FNP plans to organise a workshop for applicants on June 6
th , where more detailed information about the competition documentation and application procedure shall be provided.
The next call for applications in IRAP programme is scheduled for May 2018 (
